It's dumb to judge a comic based on their publisher. That's like saying I won't play rock band because EA has done things I don't like.

No you don't have a DVD of Walking Dead anywhere. Not the same thing as the comic anyway. All you're doing is missing out on a great book for no reason other than some silly grudge against a PUBLISHER. You of all people I would not expect this from. What a waste. I thought you were a comic fan.

no schmuck a DVD of the actual books, way to once again jump the proverbial gun N8.

I am a fan but when they want my money I am selective about what I want.

A bigger (in more ways than one) fan than you will ever be.

I never said that I was a bigger comic fan than you. Stop trying to make arguments where there are none. Also, yes, you are a fatty, I never contended that either ;). I think anyone with functional eyes can see that 1 Ron = 3 Nates. If you were talking about the size of your junk, I don't even wanna know how you caught a glimpse of mine. /silly rant

I'm just trying to get you to read the book, because I think it's great and think you would enjoy it too, not to throw away your grudges against comic book publishers. Walking Dead is a really great series, and it bothers me that you would pass it by for a reason as silly as that.

If you are really so hard headed that you can't even READ an image book, one that you have access to as we speak, then you are beyond my help.

Well here is round 2 for me. My new co-workers have got me interested again though I am mostly finding my own way.

batch 2:

Deadpool Corps #4 - Couldn't pass up just based on the cover; a spoof on the gunsnroses album appetite for destruction. It was good enough, I'll buy the next one I see.

Deadpool X marks the spot trade (13-18) - 13 and 14 were unbearably bad. Thankfully it looked like the writer and artist changed afterwards. Not bad but I think I'll lean towards Cable/Deadpool next time.

X-men Origins Deadpool 1-shot - worth the $3.99

Civil War trade - I'm torn on this one. The art is awesome but altogether barely anything happens. The end was very :| I wish it was 3x as long and had more plot points than 'oh, he's a traitor. ok, now everybody fight. oh, now these guys are joining. and she's a traitor. I knew that. oh.' It seemed like pages and pages of cameos. But I'm new to this so maybe that's what the summer runs are. And I'm not that big a fan of Thor or Cap but goddamn were they drawn awesome.

G.I. Joe Hearts & Minds #2 - Not much in it. I'll give it another shot but I think I'll try the Cobra series instead.

And a few that arrived Tuesday. Had to try something DC. I guess I have a light bias because I always paid attention to Marvel characters growing up. Never, ever liked superman.

Batman Year One - THIS is what I want to read. I'm completely sucked into it. It is my favorite so far next to the Watchmen. Gordon may be a bigger force in this one than Bat himself. I'm tearing through it so thankfully I have...

Batman The Long Halloween - Haven't even looked through it yet but I'll get to it very soon at this rate.

The Ultimated Vol 1 trade - Looks good but it will have to wait a bit. It has some characters I don't know much about so it is for learning.

Currently borrowing

Maximum Carnage trade - Eh. I don't know about this one. I thought Carnage would be an awesome character but really he is so one dimensional it gets old. I think I'd like it way better if Shriek and Doppelganger weren't present. The stupid relationship between Carnage and Shriek makes me cringe (although Carnage makes it sort of funny). I was surprised at how Mary Jane was portrayed since most of my perceptions were from the movies. I'll finish but I don't think I'll be buying this one. On a side note I think a Carnage MAX version is what I'd want just because of the way his character is built.

X-Men Age of Apocalypse trade - Apocalypse always confused me when I was younger and watched the cartoons. So here is a good way to rectify that. I'll get to it eventually.

Fables Legends in Exile

Saga of the Swamp thing

I just started reading Deadpool Corps this summer. I love that their ship is called the Bea Arthur :)

As far as things that have not already been mentioned here, I really enjoyed the Marvel Zombie trades that I've read so far, and if anyone is looking for something that has nothing to do with super heros Ghost World is awesome!
